BACKWOODS SURVIVAL SKILLS
Whether you’re a day hiker who finds himself lost in the woods or the hard-core prepper, this professionally filmed and edited video by two of the self-proclaimed coolest people on earth, will walk you through the hard-core realities of staying alive in survival situations
Imagine being able to walk off into the woods with nothing more than a knife, and survive indefinitely…
The Survival Summit is proud to present Sigma 3 Survival School’s founder and wilderness survival expert, Robert Allen, in his very own full-length film, Survival Skills.
In this online streaming film, you’ll discover the critical secrets and subtle nuances behind how to properly start a fire using a bow drill, how to build a primitive shelter with little or no tools that’ll keep you warmer than a modern tent can.
You’ll also learn how to build warm weather shelters, filter water primitively, procure your own food, and much, much more! Many of the skills are shown primitively with no tools, or semi primitively with minimal tools.

Perhaps our favorite survival skills here at The Survival Summit is the All-Night Fire, which kept us warm for 40 hours while filming, without adding wood. Prior to this film, we had never attempted to create a 40+ hour fire, but that is now a skill we will have for life, along with the many other countless skills you will learn from this amazing training.
The Survival Summit team spent five days filming with Sigma 3 Survival School, and it will be the most memorable time we have ever spent during one of our productions. All of the instructors were great to work with and we’ll hope to make another film with Sigma 3 in the future.
Whether you’re the backpacker who wants to have a few extra skills or the hardcore prepper, this training will teach you the critical basic skills needed to survive in the wilderness during an emergency. With over three hours of training in this film, there aren’t too many skills that you will not learn from Sigma 3 Survival School.

Particularly the chapters regarding bow drill skills and related potential mistakes are worth their weight in gold. But there are some other nuggets in there which make you performing much more effective and comfortable, including small things like the diamond blowing technique and the long lasting fire. No nonsense in here, and nothing superfluous.

All though I know a fair amount of the information in the survival skills DVD’S, not all of it. It well worth the price to have the information on hand to review and to get my grandsons started learning skills that I think everyone should know. No one can learn too much about survival and knowing what tools you will need and what to do when you don’t have the tools.
